CANCELLATION POLICY

At ClearStep Podiatry & Chiropody, we aim to provide a fair and efficient appointment system for all patients. The following policy explains how cancellations, late arrivals, and missed appointments are handled.

1. Appointment Cancellations

We require at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in the full appointment fee being charged.

 

2. Late Cancellations

If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice, the full appointment fee will be charged.
Providing more than 24 hours’ notice helps us offer the appointment to another patient.

3. Missed Appointments (Did Not Attend)

If you do not attend your appointment without notifying us, the full appointment fee will be charged.
Repeated missed appointments may result in a requirement for prepayment before future bookings can be made.

4. Arriving Late

If you arrive late:

  • We will do our best to accommodate you

  • Your appointment may need to be shortened to avoid delays for other patients

  • If you arrive too late to be seen, this will be treated as a late cancellation and the full appointment fee will be charged

5. Clinic Cancellations

On the rare occasion that we must cancel or change your appointment:

  • We will notify you as soon as possible

  • No fee will be charged

  • We will offer you the next available appointment

6. How to Cancel or Reschedule an Appointment

You can cancel or change your appointment via:

  • Phone

  • Email

  • Cliniko booking system (if enabled)

Please contact us more than 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the full appointment fee.

7. Appointment Reminders

We send appointment reminders via text or email as a courtesy, but these should not be relied upon.
It is your responsibility to ensure your phone number and email address are kept up to date in our records.

8. Emergency Circumstances

We understand that genuine emergencies can occur.
If you miss or cancel your appointment late due to an emergency, please inform us—fees may be waived at our discretion.
